Compasses Inn - Tisbury

Awesome place with free parking, a cozy bar lounge, and delicious meals. The staff once helped me with a room issue late at night, which I fondly remember. I highly recommend visiting for great hospitality. I'm returning for a romantic escape.

Everything was great, had a fantastic stay on a vacation. The location was pleasant and tranquil and the staff were welcoming!

A small hotel with family vibe. Lots of cereal, eggs and porridge at breakfast. Attentive and knowledgeable staff and magnificent location to the Post Office in Tisbury! Just off rural Wiltshire for 24 years, and the pub.

can recommend for a weekend respite

Comfortable cottage, friendly staff, and we enjoyed the delicious bartering system for our caught trout, made our stay even more nice with the tasty beer and good food offered on-site.

This cozy pub is a fantastic find. The homemade scotch egg was a good starter, and the charming ambiance added to the experience.

The cottage was super cozy n clean, def way better than the photos! Our pups loved it too. Food was amazin, both dinner n brekfast were yummy! Staff were so nice n cute.

But the room could've been a lil quieter, heard some noise from the pub. Could use more options for dogs on the menu.

The compasses inn is in a beautiful rural area on the edge of cranbourne chase. The beer garden has fine views, and the family room was clean and stylishly renovated. The oxtail pie was a nice change and delicious.

Cozy cottage with really good service

The attention to detail from the staff was excellent, and the food, particularly the homemade breakfast, was superb. The inviting atmosphere, and our dog felt equally welcome. The only drawback was the limited options for dogs on the menu, which could be improved.

The beautifully redecorated king double room provided a cozy stay, expertly blending modern comfort with the building's historic charm. Dining at the pub was a highlight, with delicious food and inviting atmosphere. The dog-friendly environment and proximity to scenic walks added to the enjoyable experience.

I enjoyed the location of the inn in the deep countryside. The food was substantial and well-prepared. Breakfast was tasty, but I noticed it only served from 9 to 10 AM, which might not suit everyone. The historic aspects of the dining area added to the experience.

Hidden Gem with Yummy Food!

The food was great, especially the fish pie, just so creamy and delish! Super friendly staff made it even better. The place is a bit tricky to find, so keep an eye out for the signs or you might get lost!

Really good ambiance, delicious food.

Had an awesome group trip! We checked out the Chelmsford City Racecourse and enjoyed unique cycling shirts. The food was great and the atmosphere was chill. Rooms were comfy and breakfast hit the spot. Perfect for our stay with pets too! Can't wait to go back soon!

Only downside was the bar got a bit crowded. But it didn't ruin our fun!

charming inn close to beautiful parks and historic sites

I had a lovely two-night stay in a beautifully styled room with lots of space and an en suite shower, and the friendly staff were always on hand to help with any requests, making for an enjoyable experience while I explored nearby Dinton Park and Philipps House, just a short drive away.

Amazing atmosphere and an Oxtail Bhuna dish that blew my mind! Such a cozy spot to relax.
